U r the one having identity crisis. U r PR and u bought a public housing in Singapore.. U send ur daughter to public school in Singapore...
So what if I change my citizenship to Singapore or any other countries for that matter.. I can get dual citizenship or triple citizenship.. I don’t need to love or hate the country that Im having citizenship..
I'm still young.. I got my basic degree in Singapore.. I can climb the corporate ladder and make enough money before deciding where I shall grow old..
I can go any countries for my retirement... I can choose to stay in Singapore comfortably or choose Thailand, New Zealand, Ausi, any Mediterranean countries or Scandinavian countries..
My son will grow here.. be educated here at the best private (NOT PUBLIC) primary school, secondary school and junior college.. possibly get a scholarship to study at ivy league university from US.. and serve Singapore as a high ranking civil servant... or I will send him to the best ivy league.
If he decide that he don't want to stay in Singapore, he can always choose to leave SG for any other counties.. Employment opportunities will be abundant for somebody with such qualification.
He can become a true global citizen.
